Did you have a favorite teacher in school? What made them your favorite? What grade did they teach? Why do they stand out in your mind the most?
I was lucky when it came to teachers. I had more than a couple of favorites. They all in some little way changed me, and helped me in different ways.
Mrs. Caldwell was my stars 1 teacher. ( Stars was like an in between grade instead of holding you back a year they put you in a between class) She not only taught me to read, but she taught me how to love to read by using my imagination.
Mrs. Silk was my fourth grade teacher. She taught me about self confidence. She made sure we were proud of our accomplishments. She also took the time every morning for a good two months to help me understand how to divide two digit numbers.( Math was not my strong suit)
Mrs. Johnson was my fifth grade teacher. She taught me to stand up for myself and how to be a little tougher skinned. She passed away the next year.
Mrs. Offutt was my seventh grade Texas History teacher. She made history fun and exciting thanks to her I have a passion for history.
Mrs. Hines was my eighth grade English teacher. She encouraged my writing and improved my spelling a lot!!!!
Mrs. Bruce was my eighth grade Science teacher and my homeroom teacher. She believed in me when no one else did. She also made me realize that forgiveness is key to moving on with your life.
Mr. Hendricks was my Geometry teacher in 10th grade. He loved teaching. He taught for fun. When you have a teacher who teaches for fun they make learning fun. He had his own company, but he still taught because he loved it. He made geometry easy to understand for me.

Hello! I finally got over here! Thanks for leaving me the link to your site on my blinkies page. Woohoo~blinkies everywhere. My brother and his wife are UT Texas alumni! I may have to borrow some of yours.
Thanks so much for participating in Hump Day Humor. WOW! You have a great memory of your teachers. I hope my students remember me in a positive way! I do remember my guidance counselor in high school. He helped me in so many ways all four years I was there.

I'm interested what Mrs. Offutt did to spark your historical bend? Can you remember?
Thanks, Will
