Daily Devotion- Unseen Promises Exist

And whatever you ask for in prayer, having faith and [really] believing, you will receive.

Matthew 21:22

Before the fulfilment of God's promise to multiply Abram, He changed his name from Abram("high exalted father) to Abraham ("father of multitude")(see Genesis 17:1-6). God spoke the promise long before it was visible to anyone.

Anything that is in the Word of God is a promise that can be rightfully and legally spoken forth even before it visibly exists. Reach into the spiritual realm, that you cannot see, and pull the promises of God out of there, with the words of your mouth, and prophesy them into existence. Read God's Word and speak as the Holy Spirit leads you to do so today.

Daily Devotion- Avoid Extremes

Apply your mind to instruction and correction and your ears to words of knowledge.

Proverbs 23:12

When I first became a Christian, I heard a message about keeping my mouth shut, so I made a decision that the next day I would not open my mouth to say anything. I was determined not to get myself in any trouble with my words.

The next morning I did not say a word for several hours. Then somebody asked me, "What is your problem?" That made me mad all over again. Eventually I learned that extremes never make our days go right. Reading God's Word helps us find balance to face everything that comes our way. The Word says we are to be well-balanced because the devil seeks someone to devour (see I Peter 5:8).

Daily Devotion- Speak Positively

Behold, You desire truth in the inner being; make me therefore to know wisdom in my inmost heart.

Psalm 51:6

Focus on speaking words of faith today; keep your confession truthful but positive. Do not deny the existence of your circumstances, but confess what God's Word has to say about your situation.

For example, if you are sneezing, coughing, and finding it difficult to breathe, it isn't truthful to say you are not sick. But you ca learn to present a negative situation in a positive way. You can say," I believe God's healing power is working in me, and that I am getting better all the time."

Daily Devotion-Appreciate Your Calling

So we, numerous as we are, are one body in Christ (the Messiah) and individually we are parts one of another [mutually dependent on one another].

Romans 12:5

Learn to appreciate the call of God on your life. He has a different call for everybody. None of us are called to do all the work that needs to be done, but we can each enjoy the assignments we are given. We can also enjoy the work God does through others.

Today holds an opportunity to mature in the knowledge of God and to enjoy  whatever God has called you to do. Your part is needed. Ask God early in the day to show you where to use your gifts to help others.

Daily Devotion-Find Balance

Since all this is true, we ought to pay much closer attention than ever to the truths that we have heard, lest in any way we drift past [them] and slip away.

Hebrews2:1

When Satan finds people out of balance, he has an inroad to destroy their lives. There are people who get out of balance in everything: from not sleeping, to sleeping too much; from not cleaning their house, to trying to keep it so clean that nobody can move in it.

Find balance; balance keeps your days going right. Satan does not much care if you do not do enough of something or if you do it too much of it, as long as you do not stay balanced. Take time to examine yourself prayerfully, and ask God to show you how to remain in balance.

I really wish I had my camera with me earlier when I was in town but I did not have it on me so will will just have to believe me. Gas is below the TWO dollar mark. Gas at the Wally World gas station was $ 1.95 wholy moly. Prices have fell almost a dollar this week!!!! Diesel is also coming down, but much more slowly.

We have a little problem. Well really it is a bunch of little problems, we have rodents,of the mice variety. I hate mice. They are gross and yucky!!! We have caught six in the traps. We found one in the dog food bowl earlier today. GROSS!  We live out in the country and have lots of fields around us so I know they are looking for a warm place to bed in for the winter, but I have news for them they are not living in this house!!!!! I have the hebbie gibbies just thinking about them.

Daily Devotion- Minister to Your Emotions

KEEP and protect me, O God, for in You I have found refuge, and in You do I put my trust and hide myself.

Psalm 16:1

God gave us feelings, and it is all right to minister to your emotions or to the emotions of other people. Do something kind for yourself to keep your emotions healthy, just do not be ruled by them.

Treat yourself to a hot bath, or a walk in the fresh air. Do what you need to do to get emotional release. If yesterday wore you out, get refreshed spiritually and emotionally before starting a new day. Find some time alone with God, listen to teaching or music tapes, and really refill your heart with an awareness of God's presence.

Daily Devotion-Communicate Love

However, Jesus had spoken of his death, but they thought that He referred to falling into a refreshing and natural sleep.

Luke11:13

One day, my son sent me a text message on my phone while he was away on a ministry trip. It read: " Mom, I love you." That blessed me so much. Of course, the next time I went shopping, I wanted to find something for him to bless him and let him know how proud I am of him.

Send God a message today, and tell Him how much you love Him. Just like  a loving parent, God enjoys meeting your needs, filling your desires, and blessing you for the love you demonstrate to Him through obedience. He can not wait to give you what you need.

Daily Devotion- Show the Blessings

And the grace (unmerited favor and blessing) of our Lord [actually] flowed out superabundantly and beyond measure for me, accompanied by faith and love that are [to be realized] in Christ Jesus.

I Timothy 1:14

God wants to bless you today. You may feel that you shouldn't have nice things, but let God balance your thinking when it comes to His blessings. He will help you understand what you should have and what you shouldn't have. God blesses you so that you will be a blessing to others.

When God provides for you, it offers hope to unbelievers that He is faithful to provide for those who serve Him. You are an ambassador for Christ ( see 2 Corinthians 5:20); expect His provision today, and do not hide His blessings when they come.

Daily Devotion- Learn To Pray

Establish my steps and direct them by [means of] Your word; let not any iniquity have dominion over me. Deliver me from the oppression of man; so will I keep Your precepts [hearing, receiving, loving, and obeying them].

Psalm 119:133-134

You may pray fifteen minutes every morning, and know you are touching heaven because things happen as a result of your prayers. But if you have a friend who prays for four hours every day, you may feel that you should pray more too.

Trust God to lead you individually in how long to pray and what to pray about. Spending an extra three hours and forty-five minutes can become a work of the flesh, if you do it just to be like your friend. You can wind up miserable and unproductive if you follow what someone else is doing, instead of simply saying,"Lord, teach me to pray."

Daily Devotion-Live Victoriously through Moderation

Let all men know and perceive and recognize your unselfishness (your considerateness, your forbearing spirit). The Lord is near [He is coming soon].

Philippians 4:5

God demonstrates our need for balance through the great varieties of foods He made available to us, We need some of all of it, but not all of some of it. If we overdo anything, it is just as bad as under doing it.

Some people think, If it is a good thing, then more of a good thing ought to be better. But that is not necessarily true. Too much or too little can both be big problems. Balance is the key to powerful, victorious living. Ask God to show you how to stay in balance today.

A Lightbulb Moment in Church

I went to church this evening and was so shocked and moved by the Preacher's message. I had a huge revelation tonight. I have what I feel is an impossible situation. Now I know the Scripture that says with God all things are possible. This was tonight message by the way, impossible situations. I really thought that I trusted God with every thing any problem I think I have, I give it to him. Tonight, as the preacher was preaching He showed me I have not trusted him with all things in fact, this thing I have cursed him for.( I hate that I have to admit this out loud that I cursed Him for anything but I have.) My husband and I have been married for 8 1/2 years. We got married young, well I got married really really young I was 17. The fact that I was 17 and getting married everyone assumed that I had gotten pregnant. Well, that was not the case. The truth is in the last 8 1/2 years we have never used anything to stop us from getting pregnat. No, we have never been to the doctor to see what is wrong.  We have never had insurance to do that. I have cursed God for not fixing this. My arms ache to hold a child. You know the saying you cant miss someone you have never met, well it is so not true. I miss the children my husband and I  have not had. It is weird though the only way I make it through a day is by giving that ache to God.  This was my huge revelation tonight. Why can I not trust Him on this issue. I have never just let Him have this problem. I trust Him with so many other worries and issues but why not this one? I was so shocked that with everything I have seen Him do in my life that I had been holding on so tightly to this issue. Needsless to say I was bawling and I mean bawling my eyes out in the middle of service and it contiued intill service had ended. Please pray for me on this issue.

Daily Devotion-Balance is Safety

So everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts upon them [obeying them] will be like a sensible (prudent, practical, wise) man who built his house upon the rock.

                                                  Matthew 7:24

Being out of balance opens the door for the devil to rob people of the good life. The devil tempts them to live in excess and extremes. He pushes some to be workaholics and others to be lazy, whichever works to keep them unproductive. He drives some to seek wealth above God, and convinces others that poverty is godliness.

I believe that the only safe life is a balanced life. And a balanced life is obtained by keeping it's priorities in line with God's truth. Build your life on solid, safe ground by praying to God and listening to his plan for you.

Daily Devotion-God Does the Work

Therefore, my dear ones, as you have always obeyed [my suggestions], so now, not only [with the enthusiasm you would show] in my presence but much more because I am absent, work out (cultivate, carry out to the goal, and fully complete) your own salvation with reverence and awe and trembling (self-distrust, with serious caution, tenderness of conscience, watchfulness against temptation, timidly shrinking from whatever might offend God and discredit the name of Christ).

[Not in your own strength] for it is God Who is all the while effectually at work in you [energizing and creating in you the power and desire], both to will and to work for His good pleasure and satisfaction and delight.                                  Philippians 2:12-13

The Word of God brings liberty, not legalism; promises, not laws; and guidelines to a good life, not condemnation. Many work at following a Christian lifestyle, but they are not happy because they are focused on rules instead of their relationship with God.

If you are trudging along, believing you have to give, have to read the bible, have to pray, have to walk in the fruit of the Spirit, I encourage you to stop thinking you have to do anything. You will discover that God will give you the grace to want to do the things that lead to a victorious life in Him.

Daily Devotion-It's a Promise

Let Your mercy and loving-kindness come also to me, O Lord, even Your salvation according to Your promise

                           Psalm 119:41

Some Christians want to make a law out of studying the Bible or spending a certain amount of time with God. But we should be motivated to read God's Word and spend time with Him because of our love relationship with Him, not because of a commandment to do so.

Jesus said, " If you {really} love Me, you will keep (obey) My commands"( John 14:15). What He really meant was, " If you love Me and walk in fellowship with Me, you will keep My commandments." If you concentrate on loving God, then keeping his commandments will become a natural part of what you do. It is a promise He makes to you.

Gas Prices, A Date with the Hubby, and our New pets

WOW oh WOW!!!! We went by Wally World earlier this afternoon and gas was at $3.14(which was down from last night by about 10 cents) After our movie we went back to Wally World to get some stuff and gas was at are you ready for this.....it was at $2.99!!! Under 3 dollars yippee!!!! Then we got out of Wally World and noticed in the 30 mins we were inside gas had fallen again to $2.97. Holy Moly people. This makes me excited!!!!

Anywayz......Steve called me this morning and told me to not eat anything cause he is taking me out. We had such a great time. We went and had our favorite restaurant Mexican Inn. Then he took me to Half Price Books. I got a Jodi Picoult book called Keeping Faith. She is a wonderful author. I also got a Janet Evanovich book called Plum Lucky. This author is so darned funny!!! There are not many books that really make me laugh out loud but hers do. After that we went to the movies. We saw Fireproof. If this movie is in your theater go see it. Take your spouse. It is about a married couple fixing to get a divorce and the husband takes what is called a love dare and it last 40 days. It ends up saving their marriage. This movie is not getting a lot of advertisement because it is a Christian movie so go see it then tell a friend. NO cussing, no sex it is very family friendly with older kids. It is a great movie!!!!

A couple of weeks ago Steve's Mom gave us a 55 gallon fish tank. Well we got some fishies for it. I think we have 8 fishies so far. Fish are cool!!!!!

Daily Devotion- Accept God's Invitation

I [the Lord] will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you

                                                                     Pslam 32:8

I am Full.......

I am so amazed by God's goodness, His grace, His mercy, His peace, His joy, and His timing. I know he led us to this house. He puts us here for many reasons. He led my husband and I to open up our home to my parents. He has led us to our new wonderful church home. We are struggling financially. Well not struggling that is not the right word. Yes we are behind in our bills but I have faith I know God will handle these things. In the past when we got in a bind I worried, worried and worried some more.  The thing is though we are behind  I know he has us in his hands. We just got Steve's first full check from the bread company and it was enough to pay the really imporant stuff and have enough to get us through till next pay check. I have a peace beyond understanding. I am filled with joy to be in our new house with my parents in a new church. I have not felt this happy in a long time. I am making friends. We have officially become members of the church, I was asked to join the choir, Mom and I are going to a bible study on Monday nights. I have a new best friend his name is Jesus. I can call on him night or day. He always listens and sends answers in ways that completely blow my mind. I am so full of joy, happiness, peace. I am just amazed!!!

Amazed

I am amazed in your presence.

I am at peace by your grace.

I am healed by your holy light.

I am brought to my kness by your name alone.

I will worrship you for all time.

I know I am unworthy, but I cant get enough.

I am humbled by your blessings.

I am overwhelmed by your love.

I am refreshed by your words in red.

I am brought to my kness by your name alone.

I will worrship you for all time.

I know I am unworthy, but I cant get enough.

Your Presence-Revised

Lord I want to lay in your presence where nothing can go wrong. I am warmed from within by your love for me. I am at peace and I am whole. My mind is at rest and my soul is set free. I cry tears of joy because I am saved. My mouth speaks prayers of thanks for all you have given. I want to sit in your presence and bathe in your healing light. I want to feel your mighty hand on my shoulder bringing me more comfort than I'll ever need. I am at peace and I am whole. My mind is at rest and my soul is set free. I cry tears of joy because I am saved. My mouth speaks prayers of thanks for all you have given.

Daily Devotion- Choose Liberty

And such some of you were [once]. But you were washed clean (purified by a complete atonement for sin and made free from the guilt of sin), and you were consecrated (set apart, hallowed), and you were justified [pronounced righteous, by trusting] in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the [Holy] Spirit of our God.
1 Corinthians 6:11

Daily Devotion-The Grace of God

For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, I have raised you up for this very purpose of displaying My power in [dealing with] you, so that My name may be proclaimed the whole world over.

                                    Romans 9:17
