Moms Birthday

Last Sunday we had a surprise party for my Mom. I think the best surprise was that I got my brother and his family to come to the party. We usually only see them at Christmas. We had a great time. My mom was so surprised. We even had a few moments were it was just the 5 of us. The 3 kids and Mom and Dad. We don't get to have that very often, it was really nice. We all pitched in and got my Mom a Chi iron. It is a hair iron, a professional one at that. We are going to go see my Grandfather on Fathers Day. That will be nice. I have not seen Paw paw in about a year, but the really nice thing is we are all going as a family.

I Think We Have Bought a House!!!!!

You want to know why I say think??? Well it is happened really suddenly. This started months ago, when the duplex we rented was foreclosed, and we were forced to find another place to live. We looked at this house in Cleburne. It is a couple of miles away from Patty. The house was for sale owner financing so we tried for the house. It came back that they wanted a co signer so we said forget it. Fast forward 5 months later Steve's cell ring and it is the people with the house. They have found someone who will fiance us, but they need 1,800 down. Well, since Steve is not making that much money, and he has yet to get paid at his new job yet we told them there is no way we can come up with the down payment. They said no big deal we will work it out. We will be closing on our new home by next Friday. This is just so overwhelming. We have wanted our own house for the last couple of years, but I did not think it would happen so quickly. This has literally fell into our laps. GOD has truly blessed us. We have been praying for a home of our own. Please believe that GOD is in your life and that He truly does want you to be happy. All He asks is to believe in him and have a relationship with Him. Have faith it does take time but nothing is impossible with GOD!!!!!! I feel like I am going to explode with happiness. It is a three bedroom two bath. It has a converted garage. It is about 30 years old, but that is ok. It is on half of acre. It has a beautiful corner brick fireplace. They are putting in all new appliances except the fridge, but that is ok cause we have one. They are going to repair the roof and replace the ac units. When we get pictures I will post them. I just want to scream with happiness!!!!!!

Bingo & Working out

We went to bingo last night. It was fun. Patty won $100, and Steve won $20. The only thing I did was horseshoe. A good time was had by all. After bingo we went to the gym, but we were tired. I only did 12 minutes on the treadmill. I also did 2 minutes on a bike. I did not do very well at the gym. Today we are going to Mayfest. It should be pretty fun, but it will kind of hard to get my 8 glasses of water in but I am going to try my hardest. I will be trying some new healthier recipes out this next week. I have a fruit and yogurt salad I can not wait to try.
