It is State Fair Time Again!!!
We love going to the State Fair of Texas every year. The hubby and I took Mom along. We had a blast. Yes, you know that the camera went along also. (I still need a name for her!) We went through a butterfly house. I have never seen more butterflies in my life than I did yesterday. They had ones that are called blue morphs. They are AMAZING!! When they land they automatically close their wings so you can not see the beautiful color of the wings on the inside. On the outside they are brown and have several "eye" spots, I think the very knowledgeable butterfly lady said seven.
We saw some awesome cars. I fell in love with 3 of them. One was a pink Camero. It was all dressed up to support breast cancer. I did not take pictures of the other two. The second one was a VW bug. I have always wanted a bug. The new models look more like the classic ones. The third one was the Chevy Volt, it is an electric car. I would love any one of the three.

I tried to get a good shot of them flying to catch the blue in their wings, they are amazing. I will warn you now that the best picture I captured is not in focus, but I wanted to share it with you. I was chasing him around with my lens. It was such a vibrant blue.
We saw a cool dog show. It was called Amazing Dobermans. Very cute dogs.

We got to see a parade. It was so pretty. I love parades!!!! Plus an awesome Special Effect show. I will post more pictures and some videos of a talking robot, talking to me. I so want to go again this year. They have an exhibit of Chinese lanterns that looks breath taking at night, but it is kind of expensive.

An Adventure has Happened
Hubby was off on Thursday and Friday this week. I, of course, wanted to go take pictures somewhere, but I did not know where. Hubby and I both started looking online and hubby found a gem of a place. The Clark Garden is a little bit of a drive, but so worth it. I used all three memory cards in the garden. It was so peaceful. We will be going back soon. Hopefully to see the garden dressed for Christmas, and again in the spring. We saw swans, peacocks, lizards, snakes, frogs, dogs, ducks, model trains, and more. It would be a wonderful place to get married or have a family reunion.
