Update

I have been missing the release I get from writing. It is amazing how much better you feel when you have an outlet for whatever is eating at your soul. ( Plus how much my typing skills have suffered. You should the page it is filled with red squiggly lines.) We have added a third puppy to our life. Which he makes life quite chaotic. He is a five month old chocolate lab named Rocky. He is the sweetest dog that has destroyed so much stuff that I can not even begin to list it all. This is Rocky.

He no longer has those blue eyes and he is no where near that little anymore. How can you not love that little face? Maybe when he is putting a serious dent in my shoe collection.

We decided that having a baby through Little Jess just was not the way to go. We felt we were holding her back. We will always love and appreciate that she wanted to do this for the hubby and I.

Hubby is doing great. We thought he was going to have to have gallbladder surgery, but it turns out it was not his gallbladder. We are back at square one on that one, but he is feeling great ever since we left the hospital.

I am doing good. Still at Wally World.

More News

Well, Little Jess' Aunt Flo showed her head right on time, so no baby yet. I have taken a second ged test and passed it with honors, which means I am ready for college in that subject. I have 2 tests to go, and hopefully I will be taking the next one pretty soon. Thats all the new stuff I have at this point. I've been going to school, work, then home. Not much room for an adventure but I am in need of one badly. I have been missing life on the road quite a bit.

Baby Steps

I am taking baby steps instead of giant leaps of changes to see if I can make these changes stick. I am back to just drinking water. No soda at all, maybe a half and half tea when we go out to eat. My breakfast and lunch usually consists of smoothies. I have not added any exercise in yet, but that will happen soon.

Operation Baby is taking another step soon. Little Jess flies out to California on the 10th and will be back on the 15th. Hopefully, in February we will know if she is preggo and a long count down begins. I am trying so hard not to get over excited, but it is not easy. I have to keep myself out of the baby section at work. Everytime see a baby store I want to go in and look, but the hubby is sensible and keeps telling me not yet.

New Year, New News

Yikes, I can not believe it has been almost six months since my last post, time just flies. Happy New Year. I hope this year brings you hope, happiness, blessings, peace, and joy, It is always an exciting time, the start of the new year. It is a chance to start fresh, to reinvent yourself, your life. Mine and the hubby's life is changing in many ways. We both started school in September. We are taking classes to help us obtain our GED. I have managed to take one of the GED tests and passed it, so I have just three more tests to go. We start back to class the 12th. My Mom and Little Jess have both moved back in with us.

Our life is changing in another way, Little Jess has offered to be a surrogate for the hubby and I. She is being implanted later this month. Hopefully, by this time next year, the hubby and I will have a little baby of our own.

Little Jess is Married

The wedding went very well. Jess was gorgeous. I had to hold back sobs as hubby and Jess appeared. The look on his face was pure love for her. I told the hubby later when the party was in full swing, I know she is not ours, but I feel like our little girl just got married. I hope they are always as happy together as they were on Thursday.
I can only hope we are blessed with a daughter of our own for him to have this experience again. I swear there are times when I am perfectly happy not having any kids, but there are other times when my arms ache to hold a child that is apart of both of us.
I learned that I still have a lot to learn on the photography front. I may have also figured out if I do become a professorial at this that weddings may not be my cup of tea. There were so many variables that came in to play. Some pictures are not to bad others, well they went bye, bye. Luckily I took several shots of each pose so I did not miss any of the important events of the wedding. I also got my feelings hurt. This should not have bothered me at all. Really. Jessica's new hubby does not have a lot of family. I know his parents passed away, but that is about all I know. The people that have raised him said something about knowing some professional that didn't have a 50 dollar camera to do the wedding photos. I admit I got angry, but just let it go. The thing is my camera is not a 50 dollar camera, not that there is anything wrong with a 50 dollar camera but that is not what I have. It is not like I charged them for the taking of the pictures. Heck I am even paying to have them printed out. Jess knew that this would be a learning experience for me and was cool with it. So, needless to say between my not so hot pictures and this person I am feeling  sorry  for myself. But, I will not let that stop my enjoyment of taking pictures, nor will I let this person steal my happy memories of this day because I had a blast. And now some of the better pictures for your enjoyment.

She made a beautiful bride

Hubby is on the left, Groom in the middle, and the best man on the  right.

Cutie Pie as the flower girl and her sister, who helped her with the task.

Yeah this is the holding back the sobs moment.

Moments after the kiss.

Garter time

Her feet were killing her in those shoes. A sweet moment no one else noticed.

A toast was being made in both of their honor. They look radiant together.

Little Jess is getting Married

Little Jess is getting married. I have spent the morning making her bridal bouquet and bridesmaid bouquets.  She told us she was getting married at Christmas time of this year. Then it became next summer, because she could not afford it. Then suddenly it was on the 30th of this month.
We have less than a week to put this shin dig together. I was a little confused at the sudden change of plans. The we have to do this now attitude, but no one wanted to ask her why? Why the change, why so soon? It turns out the Navy will not let him stay with her on base unless they are married.
Yesterday was a crazy shopping day, 7 straight hours of non stop shopping. I am once again sick of looking at wedding stuff. It got that way after my own wedding. I think we managed to get everything thing.
Little Jess is not traditional in any way. Instead of a unity candle, we are going to have a unity sand ceremony. This is really a neat idea. Especially since this will be outside. No more worrying about keeping the unity candle lit.

I am happy she is happy. I am supportive of her, because I know how it felt not to be supported when I made the choice to get married. Do I worry if she is not ready for this step, Yes. Do I worry that the man she is marrying is not ready, Yes. But you have to let them live their life. So I am crafting the day away. Come Thursday morning I will spend several hours blowing up balloons, it will be fun for all. I told Jess I would take pics, hubby is walking her down the isle. He teared up when she asked him. Of course that made me tear up. I only hope I do not cry too hard. I want  to see where I am shooting at. The camera that is. That did not sound quite right.
