That is a hard title to digest. It is not all about me, the world does not revolve around me. Tonight we started a new Bible study. Its Living Beyond Yourself by, Beth Moore. It is about the fruit of the spirit. The 9 qualities you should have if you are truly living in His spirit. Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. (I will admit I got 5 before I had to look them up). I need all of these but it is that last one that I need a whole lot of, self-control. Really all you have to do is take a look at me and you will know I have very little self control or I would not be the size I am.
I was reading Galatians 5 and I realized that even though I love Christ and He is my Savior I have been falling so short of living my life for Him. I am nor abiding by His commandments is so many ways. I have been greedy, envious, short tempered, inpatient, unkind, and so much more. I need to get right with Him. I need to let my life go, again. I am thankful for the fact that nothing I can do can change His love for me. That He always has enough grace to cover my short comings. Thank you Father, thank you.

Daily Devotion Keep Your Promises September 6th
September 6th
Keep Your Promises
He who honors those who fear the Lord (who revere and worship Him); who swears to his own hurt and does not change; [he who] does not put out his money for interest [to one of his own people] and who will not take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things shall never be moved.
Psalm 15:4-5
There are times when I make a commitment to do something that later I regret. Then I try to figure out some way to get out of doing what I said I would do. I argue, "God, surely You don't want me to do this thing and miss this other great opportunity."
The only thing the Lord ever says to me is, "You gave your word, Joyce. Be a woman of integrity, and I will bless you." If we are people of integrity, God will bring other good opportunities around another time with even more blessings.

Jonah: Navigating a Life Interrupted
If you find yourself balking at God's instructions in your life, it is an indication of the importance you place on God and His will.
This is from our new Bible Study by Priscilla Shirer: Jonah Navigating a Life Interrupted.
I have just finished the first day of week one and already I can see how I need this lesson. I need to focus on what God wants for me and not what I want for me. To complete this days lesson she asks you to write your top three goals in your life that you have not accomplished and then she asks you to think if you place more importance on these goals or on God and His purposes for you and will you yield them to Him if He asks you to. Oh boy, oh buddy. Its getting deep already. I need this study, but I think it is gonna be a painful one.

Thanksgiving Dinner at Church,CHF, Thanksgiving Baskets & Bible Study
Our Thanksgiving dinner at the church went great. We had some awesome food and then we went to the sanctuary to give thanks to God. We went around and told our stories and what we were Thankful for. Some of those stories were just so touching. I used a couple of tissues.
Mom was not feeling very good she decided to stay home cause she was coughing a lot and she did not want to be coughing that much while people were trying to eat. When we got home she was worse. She kept saying that she felt like she was drowning. She could hardly breathe. We took her to the E.R. and they kept her again. Her CHF is acting up again. They did a cat scan on her today and hopefully she will be home tomorrow. If you guys could pray that she will be home before Thanksgiving that would be awesome. Our Pastor went to see her twice today and he gave Dad money for lunch. This man blows me away.
After church yesterday the Pastor told Dad we would be getting a Thanksgiving basket. I was shocked. I am amazed that they want to help with our Thanksgiving dinner. It is a blessing but we had already bought what we needed for Thanksgiving I worry that we took a basket away from a family that really needed it. Yes do not get me wrong money is tight. We are behind on some bills, but we always have money to get food. My sister and I are splitting the cost of Thanksgiving so we helped each other out. The Lord put our name on his heart so I guess I should just shut my mouth and be grateful that we received this blessing!
Tonight was the last night of our ladies Bible study. I was really sad for two reasons; Mom was not there and we do this study together, and this study has increased my self worth in my eyes. I am sad that we will not be getting together once a week any more. Well at least not until February. We start a new study February 2. Our Bible studies are by Beth Moore. She is an awesome teacher.
