When the Heart Cries is the first book in the Sisters of the Quilt trilogy. I have enjoyed learning more and more about the Amish way of life. You can tell that Cindy has done a lot of research in writing this book. I can not wait to finish this series.
Hannah Lapp is in love with a young man her family will not approve of because Paul is a Mennonite. They get engaged the night before Paul returns to college. Hannah suffers a series of tragedies and rumors and she is at risk for losing everything and everyone she has ever loved. She follows her heart and finds that no matter what happens God has a plan nevertheless.
